This DBS6 Vantage looked like a half decent example when it arrived with us. however when it was stripped down the car told a different story. External fittings removed including glass, bumpers and lights. External paintwork was then removed by DA Sander. The front and rear body sections were cut at the screen pillars and all the pop rivets removed holding it to the steel framework before the sections were carefully removed. Once this was completed, the corroded steel sections were rectified, treated and painted before the aluminium sections were placed onto the car and cut joints TIG welded. Once the body was put back on the chassis, all panels were then realigned and gaps evened and sharpened up to a consistent 5mm. The metal exterior was then skimmed with body filler to create a smooth, ripple-free exterior prior to high build primer. More blocking required prior to final topcoating in Black Pearl metallic. Displayed at the 2017 London Classic Car show on the AMOC stand. Here’s a link to a video of the work we carried out on the car on our YouTube channel too. https://youtu.be/O9Cy-JGUjag Do you have a project you would like to discuss?
