I was introduced to Chris and Prestige Paintworks in 2010 when another garage outsourced the bodywork and paint on the restoration of my 1972 TR6, owned since 1982, to him. This was very fortunate because in relation to that car,it was the only thing done properly in a disaster lasting 3 years.
Since that introduction I have entrusted him with some other projects. I can honestly say that I do not BELIEVE anyone anywhere, produces work of the quality Chris and his team have delivered consistently over the last 8 years. This is supported by the fact that many well-known leading firms outsource their work to him either because they don't do bodywork, only mechanicals, or because they simply cannot match the quality that Prestige Paintworks deliver. But they won't tell you that.... Additionally, the labour rate is very reasonable, and all parts sourced are charged " open book “, and at cost. Further, he has often researched and found better quality parts from recognised experts that are cheaper than those supplied by some of the well-known " names ". The team are a pleasure to deal with, you are free, even encouraged, to visit at any time, and any deviations from plan are agreed and costed prior to undertaking the relevant work.
